The Faculty of Languages participates in the Women and Climate Change Conference

Under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Professor Dr. Wiaam Abdul-Wahab Al-Bayati, the Faculty participated in the Women and Climate Change Conference. Assistant Professor Dr. Inas Jassim Aldrougi, a faculty member in the Turkish Language Department, along with a team of researchers from the University of Kufa, participated online. The conference was held by the Women’s Empowerment Department, under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
The conference took place from the 10th to 11th of July, 2023. The study titled ‘Women in the Face of Climate Change – A Study on the Reality of Challenges at the University of Kufa’ shed light on several aspects, addressing the impact of climate change on women, their role in confronting these changes, and the role of women’s empowerment units at the University of Kufa in finding urgent solutions to mitigate these damages. All was done in line with the directions given by the University. The study concluded with a set of recommendations.
